Heavenly Father, I come before you asking for forgiveness upon this nation. My heart breaks at the state of this nation, the hate and vitriol, the division, the immorality, and the turning of the backs of so many towards You. Lord, we need You now to place people in the government, the churches, and the schools who will stand up for You and Your laws and values. Please soften the hearts of those who have turned away from you, and protect those who are being exposed to so many evils. I ask that You help Jesus to become the cornerstone again, that people see that He is the way, the Truth, and the Life. Allow the light of Your faithful begin to snuff out the darkness that is creeping into and overtaking our society. I humbly pray for your forgiveness and guidance. I ask for your blessing on those You have ordained to lead us back to You. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, amen.
