Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts heavy for those affected by the storms from Hurricane Beryl, stretching from Texas to Vermont. Lord, Your Word tells us in Psalm 46:1 that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We cling to this promise and ask that You be a refuge for those who have lost loved ones and suffered great damages. May Your comforting presence surround them and bring peace in the midst of their grief and loss.
Father, we also lift up those enduring extreme heat. We remember Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." We pray for Your strength and protection over those who are vulnerable to the heat, especially the elderly and those without adequate shelter.
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for all the ways You care for us. We trust in Your provision and Your ability to bring restoration and hope to these communities. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray.
Amen.
