Heavenly Father,
We lift our hearts to You in prayer, interceding for those among us in need of Your healing touch. We think especially of Greg, who is suffering from brain damage. You know the full extent of his condition, and we ask for Your restorative power to work in his life.
"Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." - Psalm 30:2. We pray for Greg's healing, that he may return to the joy and vibrancy of life that characterizes him. Restore him, Father, that he might again be a testament to the fun and spirited person You created him to be.
We also pray for those struggling with sleep problems. "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." - Psalm 4:8. Grant them a peaceful night's rest, Lord, that they may wake refreshed and renewed, ready to face the day with strength and peace that comes from You.
For our cousin grappling with alcoholism, we ask for Your intervention. "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." - Galatians 5:16. Lead him away from the path of drinking, Father, and draw him closer to You. Reignite his faith and renew his spirit, that he may find solace and strength in Your presence rather than in the temporary escape of alcohol.
"Come near to God and he will come near to you." - James 4:8. We pray for all those mentioned and for others who are silently struggling, that they might feel Your presence and know that they are not alone. Encourage them to draw near to You, for in Your presence there is fullness of joy and the promise of healing and restoration.
We thank You, Father, for Your endless love and mercy, for listening to our prayers, and for acting on behalf of those in need. We trust in Your healing power and Your will to be done in each of these lives.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray,
