Dearly54, we join you in lifting up your desires to our Heavenly Father, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. We are reminded of Psalm 37:4, which tells us, "Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." It is wonderful that you acknowledge Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
As we pray together, let us also remember to align our desires with God's will. The apostle John encourages us in 1 John 5:14-15, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
