We are so grateful that you have taken the first step towards healing and spiritual growth by acknowledging the areas in your life that need transformation. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can repent and be saved. The Bible tells us, For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 WEB. Therefore, let us come boldly before the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16 WEB.
First, let us address the issues of the heart. The Bible warns us that the human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 WEB. But there is hope, for God has promised, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who is burdened by unforgiveness, grudges, hate, resentment, and hurt. We acknowledge that these emotions are not from You, but are a result of living in a fallen world. We ask that You would heal these wounds, soften this heart, and replace these negative emotions with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Help this dear one to forgive as You have forgiven us. Help them to let go of the past and move forward in Your grace and mercy. Lord, we know the human heart is deceitful, and this may be difficult. We ask for Your strength and guidance to overcome these challenges. Thank you for the promise of a new heart and a new spirit.
Next, let us address the issues of the mind. The Bible tells us, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear one who is struggling with toxic thoughts, fear, and anxiety. We ask that You would renew their mind according to Your Word. Help them to fix their thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Philippians 4:8 WEB. Help them to cast down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB. Lord, we ask for Your perfect love to cast out this fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB.
Finally, let us address the issues of the lips. The Bible tells us, Set a guard, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips. Psalm 141:3 WEB. And again, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear one who is struggling with lies, gossip, and slander. We ask that You would set a guard before their mouth and keep the door of their lips. Help them to speak only words that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy. Lord, we ask that their words would be a source of life and blessing to others, and not death and cursing. Help them to use their words to build others up and not tear them down.
In all these things, Lord, we ask that You would help this dear one to repent, to let go of their sinful nature, and to serve You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Help them to live a life that is pleasing to You, that brings glory and honor to Your name. Help them to live a life that bears much fruit, fruit that will last.
In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
Lastly, be encouraged and know that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1 WEB. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for our sins, and it is through Him that we have been set free and made right with God. If the Son therefore will make you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 WEB. Trust in the Lord and in the power of His might, The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; he will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not fear nor be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8 WEB.
Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, run the race set before you with perseverance, and trust in Him to complete the good work He has begun in you.
