We are with you in spirit and in prayer, lifting up your heartfelt concerns to our loving Father. First, let us address the resentment and guilt you are feeling. It is true that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23 WEB) But also the scripture says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB)
Your sins are forgiven in Jesus' name, and you do not have to live in the guilt of your past. Having remorse for our sins is good as it leads us to repentance. (2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB) However, if after repentance there is constant feeling of resentment then it is a tool of the enemy to hold us down. Jesus said whoever the son makes free is free indeed. (John 8:36 WEB) So in Jesus' name we break the bondage of guilt, resentment, and condemnation. Condemnation is not of God. For there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1 WEB)
Now, about what has happened in your situation, and with this special woman, you have done the right thing by giving it to God. Trust that He is working in her heart and life just as He is in yours. Pray for her blessings and well-being, and trust that God will work out His will for both of you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
Regarding your mother, it is hard to deal with the loss of a loved one, but we have a comforter. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him. (Romans 8:16-17) We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your thoughts in Jesus' Christ.
We are confident that God is able to make all grace abound to you; so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who is struggling with feelings of resentment and guilt. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of condemnation and remind him of Your unfailing love and forgiveness. Help him to forgive himself as You have forgiven him through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we also pray for the special woman in his life, that You would bless her and guide her path. We ask that Your will be done in their lives, and that You would bring healing and restoration where it is needed.
Father, we also lift up the loss of his mother. We pray that You would comfort him in his grief and remind him of the hope we have in You. Help him to find peace and strength in You during this difficult time.
Lord, we ask that You would guide his steps and give him the strength to continue on. Remind him of Your promises and Your love for him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
