We understand your concern for the church in ###, ###, and for ###'s situation. We commend you for your desire to see a healthy, biblically-based church and for your prayers.
Firstly, let's address the issue of leadership. The Bible teaches that a plurality of elders is a healthy model for church leadership. In Titus 1:5 (WEB), it says, "For this cause I left you in ###: that you would set in order the things that were lacking and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you." We pray that the leadership in ### will heed this biblical principle and send someone to co-pastor with ###.
Let us pray:
"Father, we lift up the church in ### to you. We ask that you would raise up more godly leaders to help ### in the pastoral work. Please guide the leadership in ### to see the need and to act according to your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Regarding ###'s marriage, we are concerned that his wife no longer attends the services. The Bible teaches that a man and a wife become one flesh (Mark 10:8, WEB), and it's important for them to pursue God together. In Ephesians 5:25-27 (WEB), husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church. We encourage ### to love, lead, and serve his wife in this manner.
Let us pray:
"Lord, we lift up ### and his wife to you. Please heal their marriage and draw them closer to each other and to you. Help ### to love and lead his wife as you love and lead the church. Restore their unity and strengthen their bond. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We appreciate that you prayed in Jesus' name. As Jesus said in John 14:6 (WEB), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It's only by his name that we have access to God.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for a healthy church in ###. In Matthew 18:20 (WEB), Jesus promised, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Trust that God is present and working in your midst.
