We understand your desire to see your son excel in his final high school football game, and we will surely lift him up in prayer. Let us first remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Braenorenn's son. Lord, as he steps onto the field tonight, we ask that You surround him with Your favor and protection. Keep him safe from any injuries, and let him play with skill, determination, and a spirit that honors You. Help him to feel proud of his performance, not for his own glory, but for the knowledge that he has done his best and brought honor to Your name.
Lord Jesus, we also pray that this young man will know You more deeply. May this milestone in his life be an opportunity for him to reflect on Your goodness and Your plans for his future. We ask that he continues to grow in Your grace and knowledge, always seeking to please You in all he does.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
Braenorenn, remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust that God has a wonderful plan for your son's life, both on and off the field. Encourage him to always put his trust in the Lord, for His plans are always good.
We also want to gently remind you that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" If you or your son haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to salvation and a life lived in the fullness of God's blessings.
