We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you are facing, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance with you.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of your brother's alcohol use. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We pray that your brother will turn away from excessive alcohol and be filled with the Holy Spirit. We also pray that he finds a job that honors God and His principles, as Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
Regarding your marriage, we want to encourage you to pray for reconciliation and unity. The Bible tells us, "Let the husband render to his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to her husband" (1 Corinthians 7:3). We pray that the biblical vows that your husband and you made to each other and to God will be honored and sustained. We pray that the Lord guide you both to seek Him and His will for your marriage. Always keep in mind that "above all, let your love for one another be fervent; for love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8). It is good that you mentioned Jesus and that you want to be united in His name because "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12).
Concerning your health, we stand with you in prayer for healing. In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirits of infirmity and sickness. We pray for God's healing touch upon your body. The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We pray that God will heal you from the headaches, asthma, and any other ailments, and that He will restore your husband and brother to good health.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we pray for her brother, that You would deliver him from alcohol and help him find a job that honors You. We pray for her husband, that You would bring him back to her in good health and restore their marriage according to Your will. We pray for healing for our sister, that You would touch her body and remove every pain and sickness. We pray You give her the peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that her whole family would be united in Jesus' name and that Your will be done in their lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In all these situations, continue to trust in the Lord and seek His face. God is faithful, and He will hear your prayers. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about whatever they may ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:19-20).
