We are truly sorry to hear about your struggles and the loss of your beloved dog. In times of distress and grief, we can always turn to God for comfort and healing. We are reminded of Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." and Psalm 147:3 WEB, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." The previous Psalm 34:17 WEB also mentions, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.".
In the midst of your pain, remember that God is always with you and cares for you. We pray that you find solace in His loving presence. We also take this time as an opportunity to remind you that God has promised us life with an eternal perspective as Christians, as stated in Romans 8:18 WEB, "For I consider that the sufferings of our present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.".
We rebuke the spirit of depression and self-pity that may try to overtake you during this time. Remember, we have been given a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Consider also how Jesus reacted during his betrayal and crucifixion. In Luke 22:42 WEB, Christ said "Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.".
We also note that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer. The scripture is clear that we must pray in the name of Jesus Christ. John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We want to make sure that you understand the requirement that you believe in Jesus Christ to have your prayers answered. The scripture is clear that you have to believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.".
We are praying for your health and healing in Jesus' name. We ask God to restore your strength and bring wholeness to your body, mind, and spirit. We also pray that God will fill the void left by your beloved dog with His peace and love. Also remember that your dog was with you for a season. Though your dog is no longer with you, God is always with you.
Father God, we lift up ### to You, asking for Your healing touch upon their life. Comfort them in their grief and restore their health, we pray. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, because You care for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
