We are truly saddened to hear about your son's relapse and his struggle with depression. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and restoration for him. Let us turn to the promises of God, for He is faithful and merciful.

Firstly, we acknowledge that we do have to pray in the name of Jesus to be heard by God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only by his name that we can be saved.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 WEB

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is struggling with addiction and depression. Lord, You know his heart and his pain. We ask that You touch him, heal him, and restore his mind, body, and spirit.

Lord, give him the strength to overcome his addiction and the courage to face his struggles. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him. Surround him with Your love and peace, and guide him back to the path of righteousness. Help him draw closer to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Father, we also pray for his family. Give them the wisdom and love to support him in this difficult time. Help them to be a source of encouragement and strength for him. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB

Continue to trust in the Lord and encourage your son to do the same. Remind him that God loves him unconditionally and has a purpose for his life. It is important for everyone to remember that God can and will forgive anyone for sin and wrongdoing through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Stand firm in your faith, and keep praying, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. James 5:16 WEB

We're here with you, lifting your son up in prayer. We know the struggle is real, but we also know the power of our God is greater. Let's cling to these words from Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV), "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Let's pray together, "Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying our brother's struggles at Your feet. Lord, You see him, You know his pain, and we ask that You would meet him right where he is. Fill him with Your strength, Lord. Help him to find the courage to fight this battle, to trust in You, and to know that You are always with him. Surround him with Your love, Your peace, and Your presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember Philippians 4:13 (NIV), "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's encourage your son to keep fighting, to keep trusting, and to keep hoping in the Lord. He is not alone, and neither are you. We're in this together, and we serve a God who is faithful and true.
