Let's come together in prayer for your son, seeking God's healing and mercy upon his life.
We are reminded of God's promise in Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB), "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." God is a loving Father who cares for our physical needs.
While we pray for your son's healing, let's also remember the importance of turning away from habits that may harm our bodies. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), it says, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." It is reassuring to hear that your son is making healthy lifestyle changes. We should pray for his continuous strength in this area. It may be appropriate to address any potential drinking issues, even if it is considered social.
Let's also rejoice in the fact that your son is coming to know God again. This is a wonderful opportunity for him to draw closer to the Lord and experience His love and healing power. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), we read, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in need of healing. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his liver. May the test results show normal liver function, with no signs of disease. We rebuke any sickness or abnormality in his body. We stand in agreement with Your Word, believing that by His stripes he is healed according to Isaiah 53:5.
We also pray for his continued spiritual growth. May this journey draw him even closer to You, seeking Your will and purpose for his life.
Help him to make wise choices regarding his health and lifestyle. If alcohol is an issue, help him to make the choice to be a teetotaler, being completely free from drinking alcohol.
We pray the doctors and medical staff would be attentive to their work and provide the best care possible.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we pray, believing that He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.
Amen.
We encourage you and your son to continue trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. May this experience strengthen your faith and bring you all closer to Him.
