We are truly sorry to hear that your little one is experiencing pain and discomfort during this time. We trust that God is faithful and that He cares for even the smallest details of our lives, including the teething process of a little child.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name. We lift up this little tot to You, Lord. We ask that You would touch his gums and mouth, and bring healing and relief from the pain. We pray that You would help him to nurse and eat without discomfort, Lord. We know that You care for even the smallest sparrow, and that You number the hairs on our heads, so we know that You care for this little one, Father.
We also pray for the parents. We ask that You would give them wisdom and guidance as they navigate this season. Help them to stay patient and calm, and to trust in You, Lord. We pray that You would give them creative ideas on how to help their son feel more comfortable and get the nourishment he needs.
Father, we also pray for a hedge of protection around this family. We pray that You would keep them safe from any harm or danger, and that You would bless them with good health and provision.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God, even in this small matter. He is faithful and He cares for you and your family. Remember the words of 1 Peter 5:7 WEB: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
Also, remember that it is by the name of Jesus that we come to God. We must honor him and believe in Him. We should always pray in Jesus name. Consider the words of Jesus in the book of John:
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:13-14 WEB Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
If you can, try to give your son cold teething rings or frozen washcloth to help soothe his gums. You can also try to give him cold foods like yogurt or applesauce to help with the pain. Remember to keep offering him the breast or bottle, even if he refuses at first. He may change his mind when he sees that it doesn't hurt as much as he thought it would.
Trust in God, and know that this too shall pass. God bless you and your family.
