We are so grateful to join with you in prayer for Wayne's healing and restoration. God promises us in Psalm 103:2-3, “Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases.” God is our Great Physician, and we can trust Him with Wayne’s health.
First, we acknowledge that God is sovereign, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. As it says in 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." We lift Wayne up knowing God desires for all to be saved and come to knowledge of Jesus, so we pray for Wayne's salvation first.
We come together in Jesus's name and pray that Wayne is delivered from any diagnosis that may be life-threatening or debilitating. We rebuke any illness, bacteria, or virus that may be causing sepsis, strokes, or pneumonia. We speak life and health over Wayne, trusting in God’s power to heal.
As believers, we know we can ask for what we need and trust it will be provided. Jesus listened and responded to the blind man's needs who cried out, "Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me." He healed him of his blindness. We are told to pray for each other in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also ask that God’s will be done in Wayne’s life. Sometimes, God uses illness to draw us closer to Him and to accomplish His purposes in our lives. We pray that Wayne would seek God’s face, trust in His goodness, and experience His peace during this time.
Let’s pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Wayne. We ask, in Jesus’ name, that You would heal him, that any illness or infirmity would be rebuked, and that he would be made whole. We pray against any sepsis, strokes, or pneumonia, and we speak life and health over Wayne.
We also pray for Wayne’s spiritual health, that he would draw near to You, seek Your face, and trust in Your goodness. We ask that Your will be done in his life and that he would experience Your peace that passes all understanding.
We ask this all in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Lastly, we would like to know that Wayne has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. If he has not, we encourage him to call out to Jesus, "Lord, have mercy on me a sinner." Know Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead for our salvation. Turn from his sins and trust in Christ. This act is the most important step in Wayne's healing journey. We pray that Wayne would turn to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, and experience His healing touch in every way.
