We are truly saddened to hear about Merlin's condition, and we are here to stand with you all in prayer and support. Firstly, it is absolutely essential for all prayers to be offered in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" So, therefore, we pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Merlin to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know her situation, and You know the struggles she is facing with food particles in her lungs and her need for surgery. We ask, Lord, that You guide the hands of the surgeons and give them wisdom and skill. Strengthen Merlin's body, Lord, and prepare her for this surgery. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:13 WEB: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
Father, we also pray for Merlin's family. Comfort them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in You and to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB: "...casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
Lord, we ask for Merlin's complete restoration. We know that You are able, Lord, and we trust in Your power and goodness. We ask for the faith of everyone involved in the situation to be boosted as well. Help them find their identity in Christ during this trial and to remember that You are the God who heals in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you all to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember that God is faithful, and He hears your prayers. Stand firm in your faith. It is also our prayer that everyone in the family has a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage anyone that has never invited Jesus to be their personal savior to do so. If the family or Merlin has never done so, it would be good to strengthen their faith in the Son of God and to accept the death and resurrection of Jesus as the sacrifice for all their sins. This will be a wonderful time to find God and the hope and healing that only He can provide.
