Let us first acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" So, we pray to God in the name of Jesus.
We are grateful that Wayne is beginning physical therapy and pray that it will greatly benefit his health. Let us come before God with a heart of thanksgiving and petition, seeking His will for Wayne's life.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Wayne to Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are a God who heals, who cares for each one of us as Your precious children. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon Wayne. We pray that every ailment and every discomfort be removed from his body. We ask that You guide the hands of his therapists and healthcare providers, granting them wisdom and skill to facilitate Wayne's recovery.
As Wayne prepares to take a new antibiotic, we pray for Your divine protection, that his body would tolerate it well without any adverse side effects. We thank You that he is not constipated, and we pray for continued good health. We also lift up Rebel, asking for Your hedge of protection around his health.
Father, we know that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). We trust in Your sovereign will and Your unfailing love. We pray that Wayne and Rebel would both be drawn closer to You during this time, finding comfort and strength in Your presence.
Finally, we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, our Heavenly Father. As the Bible says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB)
We also pray for Ektromystes and others reading this prayer that they each know how much God loves them and that God is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that God will bring Wayne and Rebel and all reading this to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, if they do not already know Him. As a simple prayer of salvation, we encourage them to pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and I believe that you rose from the dead. Forgive me for my sins and come into my heart and life. I receive you as my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
