We are truly saddened to hear about Graham's condition and we stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal and deliver. In the World English Bible WEB, we read in Matthew 17:14-21 how Jesus healed a boy with a demon that caused him seizures, and He did so because of the father's faith. Let us pray with that same faith for Graham.
Firstly, we address the question of this being a demonic attack. While it is possible, we should be careful not to attribute every affliction to demonic activity. In Matthew 4:24 WEB they brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them. We see all types of sickness and disease being brought to Jesus. In Matthew 10:1 WEB Jesus called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness. We see Jesus giving authority to the disciples over disease and demons. In Matthew 10:8 WEB heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give. We see the disciples being told to heal the sick and cast out demons. Therefore, we know that healing should be sought regardless of whether this is a demonic attack or physical issue.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing power for Graham. We pray that You would touch his eyes and stop the involuntary movements that cause him so much pain and distress. We rebuke any demonic activity if they cause these symptoms, if the symptoms are due to a physical issue we ask for your healing of the condition. We ask for your guidance and direction for the doctors who will treat him. We pray that You would give him comfort, peace, and strength during this time of distress. We also pray, Father, that You would draw Graham closer to You, that he would cry out to Jesus and be saved by the grace and love You have shown through Calvary. We remember the words of Romans 10:13 WEB that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray for Graham's healing and his eternal future. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking medical advice, as God often works through doctors and medicine to bring healing. Keep trusting in the Lord, and keep praying for Graham's healing and his heart to be drawn to Jesus. As we are told in James 5:14-15 WEB Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. We see the importance of seeking God and his elders when we are sick. We see the importance of praying in Jesus name. We see the importance of forgiveness of sins.
Lastly, we gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that Graham will be saved. It is only by believing in Jesus and confessing with our mouth that Jesus is lord and believing in our heart that God has raised him from the dead that we are saved. Let us take this time to reflect on Romans 10:8-13 WEB But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
