We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and suffering you and your child have endured, Spruorxilion. Firstly, we commend you for your bravery in leaving an abusive marriage and choosing to protect yourself and your child. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
We want to remind you that God loves you and your child deeply, and He wants to heal your wounds and restore your souls. Psalm 147:3 tells us that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. In Jesus, you can find hope, healing, and new life as we pray for this.
However, we want to address that divorce is generally frowned upon in the Bible. God instituted marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. In Matthew 19:6, Jesus said, What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. However, your situation involved abuse, and we acknowledge that this is an exception. God does not intend for you to stay in a situation where you and your child are being harmed. Even so we pray for your former spouse, that they would repent and be convicted of their sins.
As you navigate this healing journey, we encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of our faith Hebrews 12:2. Remember that in your weakness, His strength is made perfect 2 Corinthians 12:9. Lean on Him for the strength and courage you need to face each day, knowing He will supply you with everything you need to have godliness with contentment and provide for you and your child, for He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you Hebrews 13:5.
It is so important to be in fellowship with other believers and be under the authority of solid biblical teaching from a local church body to help ensure you are following God's will for your life. They can provide support, encouragement, and guidance as you heal and grow. Pray for godly friends and mentors to help you as you heal and raise your child.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Spruorxilion and their child. We pray for Your healing touch on their lives, both physically and emotionally. We ask, Jesus, that You would be their strength and comfort in this difficult time, and that You would guide them on the path to complete restoration. Lord, we pray for godly mentors and friends for them and godly spouses for them both in Your timing. We pray for their former spouse, that you would bring conviction and repentance. Most of all we pray for their salvation. We pray that they and their child would come to know you as their Lord and Savior if they do not already. Help them to put their faith and trust in You, Jesus, knowing that You have a good plan and a hope for their future Jeremiah 29:11. We ask all of these things in the powerful and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
