Amen! "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Phil 4:6). Trust His peace! Let's keep lifting each other up. "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thess 5:16-18). In Jesus' name!
We are truly sorry to hear about the chronic pain you are experiencing as a result of your work and car accident. We are also burdened for your children who have turned away from the Lord. Let's bring these concerns before the Lord in prayer. First, we need to acknowledge the power of Jesus Christ. We only have access to God if we approach Him through Jesus Christ. It is only in Jesus Christ we have forgiveness and healing.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### who is suffering from chronic pain. Lord, You know the intensity of the pain and the impact it has on daily life. We ask for Your healing touch. We pray for supernatural healing, but if it is not Your will to heal ### now or completely we pray for Your strength to help them endure. May Your peace and patience be His portion. May Your grace be sufficient for them.
Father, we also bring before You the children of ### who have turned away from You. Lord, You know the desires of our hearts and the pain our disobedience causes. We pray for a turning of their hearts back to You, Lord. We pray for their minds to be opened and their hearts to be circumcised. We pray for the Holy Spirit to convict them and draw them back to You, Lord. We pray for them to be saved and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Father, we also pray for ###, give them the strength and wisdom to be a godly example to their children. Help them to speak the truth in love and to live a life that points their children to You.
In all these requests, Heavenly Father, may Your gentleness be evident to ### and their children. May You will be done and Your glory be seen in each of their lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
###, remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 WEB:
"By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
Paul prayed for healing but God didn't remove the pain. God will always answer our prayers, but healing doesn't always come in the way we expect. God's grace is sufficient.
Regarding your children, remember that God desires for all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB). Continue to pray for them and be a godly example. Don't grow weary in the work of the Lord. Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2 WEB).
Finally, ###, if you have not already, make sure you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him we have access to God. It is only through Jesus Christ we are saved. If you want to know more about Jesus Christ and His claim on your life please let us know. We want to make sure you know and understand the message of salvation.
