We are lifting up Dennis B. and Matt M. in prayer, asking God to touch their bodies and bring healing. We stand on the promise in James 5:14-15 (WEB), "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for Dennis and Matt. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and there is no sickness or disease that can stand against Your power. We ask that You would bring restoration and health to their bodies, and that You would also minister to their spirits, drawing them ever closer to You.
We also pray for their faith to be strengthened during this time. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that Your love for them is perfect and Your plans for them are good. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
If there is any sin in their lives, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help them to turn away from anything that is not pleasing to You, and to walk in Your ways.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed. Amen."
We encourage Dennis and Matt to hold fast to their faith, and to trust in the Lord even in this difficult time. We remind them of the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, we gently remind Plasse and anyone else reading this, that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father in prayer. As it says in John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can be reconciled to God. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead. This is the simple, yet profound, message of the Gospel, and it is our desire that everyone would come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
