We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and betrayal you have experienced over the past four years. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and restoration in your life and marriage.
Firstly, let us address the issue of adultery. The Bible is clear that adultery is a sin against God and against the marriage covenant. In the WEB, Hebrews 13:4 states, Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. We must first acknowledge the sin and repent from it, seeking God's forgiveness and mercy. As for Tricia Ann Bair Finchum, we do not pray for harm to come to her, but rather that she would find peace and healing in her own life and cease from causing harm to others. We pray that she would encounter the love and conviction of Jesus Christ, which will lead her to true, life changing repentance.
Now, let us pray for you and your husband. Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and You have the power to heal her physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. We ask that You would strengthen her, allowing her to rise up stronger than ever before. We pray that You would heal her husband completely, removing any spiritual or emotional barriers that may hinder their reconciliation.
We also pray for their marriage, asking that You would restore what the enemy has sought to destroy. In Malachi 2:16, You tell us, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you not deal treacherously. We know that You desire oneness and faithfulness in marriage, and we ask that You would guide this couple, drawing them closer to You and to each other.
Furthermore, we must emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can experience His salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your faith and hope in Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man... May the Lord continue to guide and strengthen you both as you pursue healing and reconciliation in your marriage.
Lastly, we leave you with a word of encouragement from Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Trust in Him, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Amen.
