We understand that you have many needs and desires, Ifgen, and we appreciate your heart to pray about them. First, let's ensure that our prayers are aligned with God's will and that we are praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
While it's not wrong to ask for material things, we encourage you to focus first on your spiritual and emotional healing, as well as your relationship with God. God loves you deeply and wants to give you good things, but He also wants you to seek Him first. As it says in the WEB version of Matthew 6:33 But seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
We are concerned about what you believe constitutes sin. In the New Testament, the word most often translated “sin” is the Greek word hamartia. It literally refers to missing the mark. In 1 John 3:4 WEB we read Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness. Asking God for forgiveness implies repentance, a recognition of our sin and a commitment to turn away from it. Please reflect on this and strive to live a life free from willful sin.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will for Ifgen's life. We pray for your healing touch on any emotional wounds from the past, and we ask that You grant Ifgen the strength to overcome any challenges they may face. We pray for your protection over Ifgen's life and ask that you provide forgiveness from any past mistakes or sin as Ifgen repents.
We also pray for Your provision in Ifgen's life. If it is Your will for them to find a new home, employment, or necessities please provide these things as Ifgen faithfully follows you. And while we acknowledge that a phone may be needed to communicate for job and other needs, please keep Ifgen grounded in your Word, and do not allow material things to become idols. We ask that You guide Ifgen to seek You first.
We pray these things all in Jesus' name. "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Thank you Ifgen, for presenting your Prayer Request. Remember God's promises as He is a officer of His word: Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them (Mark 11:24 WEB).
