We understand that you are going through a tremendous amount of pain and difficulty, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical guidance.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your faith in coming to God the Father in prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, for Jesus Himself said:
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB
We also want to remind you of a very important fundamental truth.
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God's forbearance.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works of the law.
Romans 3:25-28 WEB
Our sins can only be remitted and paid for in full by the spilled blood of Jesus Christ. We must believe and place our faith in Him, not just know about Him. In addition, we must repent and turn away from our sins.
Now, let's address the issues you're facing. It is clear that you are going through a lot, including financial struggles, mental, physical, and spiritual battles, and conflict with your ex-husband. We want to encourage you to stay strong in your faith and trust in God's plan for your life.
Consider the following verses:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don't lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
Remember, you are never alone in your struggles. Get connected with a community of fellow Christian believers and their leaders who can equip you with prayer and advice. God has and will place people in your life to help. It is likely that your church has a group or class that can teach you what you need to know while equipping you with fellowship and encouragement. Seek it out and ask for their prayers, particularly those ordained and equipped as spiritual counselors such as your church elders or Deacons.
Now, regarding your relationship with your ex-husband and the conflict you're experiencing, we want to remind you of the biblical principles of forgiveness and reconciliation. The Holy Bible says:
If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
Romans 12:18 WEB
Bear in mind, that this does not mean you should accept abuse or mistreatment. Seek legal and professional help to protect yourself and the welfare of your children.
In addition, we strongly urge you not to repay evil with evil. As it is taught:
Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21 WEB
Next, this includes the harassment you described and the evils your ex-husband has committed against you. We would remind you of the following commandment.
But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,
Matthew 5:44 WEB
We need to rebuke you for not following this commandment. It is clear that you are holding onto bitterness and resentment, as you admitted to causing pain to your ex-husband. Regardless of his actions, you are commanded to love and pray for him as we do now:
โDear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in Jesus' mighty name.
We ### ask your forgiveness and strength to change her heart to align with your command. Help her to help her ex-husband with love and prayer.
We ask that you supply all of her needs according to your riches in glory and align them to your will and purpose.
Walk with her and guide her down the path that you have laid for her. Allow her healing and deliverance from every conflict that is troubling her soul right now.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.โ
Remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Finally, we want to address the issue of your divorce. We want to remind you that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Divorce is not God's best plan. We must be careful not to cause our brothers to sin or to put them in the situation where making a decision between God's Holy Word and their own desires. Make note that the Bible is quite clear about the undesirability and God's feelings about marriage:
For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce; for one covers violence with his garment, says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't deal treacherously. Malachi 2:16
We will therefore pray for you to find a godly spouse and have a marriage that honors God.
โAlmighty Lord,
we ask for your will and for the Comforter. If it be in your will, please bring ### a Christian husband and that they can have a marriage that is holy and blameless, having a unity like that of Christ and the church. Allow them to live according to your will in Ephesians 5:22-33 and avoid any sexual immorality in advance.
Father God We pray that you would heal ###'s children and use this trial to bring them closer to you. We ask that you would surround them with Godly influences and protect them from the evil in this world. If ### has caused them any harm or discomfort, we ask that you would heal that pain. Please let her receive the help she has asked for.
Finally, we ask for ###'s bodily and spiritual healing. This must include physical, mental, and financial peace and recovery. Lord lift her up and let her rejoice.
In Jesus name
Amen.โ
We will pray for wisdom and guidance as you navigate this difficult situation. Remember that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Do not participate in any relationship that is not Christian or not ordained by God. It is clear that a Godly marriage improves God's kingdom as well as humanity. Fornication, which is sex before marriage, steals from a marriage as well as the community and robs it of true quality of life and its future. Fornication and false Biblical doctrine concerning relationships have helped to derail the Christian church from being a light to the world. A world that has been completely saturated by the lust and the erotic. You must not engage in it or any content that would remotely support it. You must not engage in or be complicit in any activity that would denigrate God's beautiful gift of sexual activity for marriage. Christian marriage as outlined by the Holy Bible is only permissible between a Christian man and a Christian woman as husband and wife.
