Let us come together in prayer and compassion for the healing of Patricians husband Doug. We first remind everyone of James 5:15, The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
In Jesus' name and in accordance with God's will, we pray for Doug's complete healing from colon cancer. Words cannot express how saddened we are when hearing of a drastic diagnosis, but we know the Comforter who heals and gives everlasting life. We stand on the promises of God and His ultimate healing power. May God have mercy on Doug and may the power of Jesus Christ give him hope. Let him take comfort and healing from the words of Psalms 41:3, WEB, Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
But in all honesty and compassion, we understand God does not always intend physical healing. When King David was dying, he could not be healed despite praying and fasting, but he trusted himself to God and His grace. In faith, we will be faithful and pray for a cure, we also ask that if not, He will give Doug and Patricia strength and relief and hope.
With all prayers and not just this one, it is so important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. In the scripture, John 14:6 (WEB) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Acts 4:12 (WEB) further says, “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" So we pray to Jesus Christ and we encourage others.
To you, Pat, we would like to remind you to trust in the Lord and to lean not in your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We encourage you to turn to God in prayer to help you see His perfect will. We encourage you both to read the Bible for comfort. If we can build you up more, please let us know.
Be assured, we will continue to pray for Doug, you, and your family.
