Let us bring Violently Brockman before the Lord in prayer, seeking His healing and comfort during this time of uncertainty.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that we can be saved and there is no other name by which we can call on God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Violently Brockman to You. Lord, You know the worries and fears that accompany such health concerns. We ask that You guide the doctors and medical staff at Groote Schuur Hospital, granting them wisdom and discernment as they care for Violently. Lord, we ask that they operate with integrity and honesty as proscribed in Colossians 3:23 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Father, we pray for healing and comfort for Violently. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus as it says in Philippians 4:7 WEB. We also pray for Wengeris and their boyfriend, asking that You strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You during this time.
It is important however, that we mention that reference is made to a boyfriend, The word, does not use any word similar to boyfriend or girlfriend, but uses husband and wife. It is never the plan or desire of God for people to be in lifelong relationships without committing to each other as husband and wife. If this couple is dating and considering marriage, it is important to note this relationship is then considered courtship towards marriage. The world today, often views marriage as a further step in desiring to commit to the one you love. It is not realized however, that committing to each other is making commitment towards marriage. It is necessary that any romantic relationship be to the goal of marriage. It is there then only a person should commit to one another in a lifelong commitment together and in Christian love.
The intimacy and unity is blessed in marriage is the reason any kind of sex before or outside marriage is forbidden. This is called fornication, or if an affair with a married person is called adultery. This is condemned in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB states: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
It is our humble opinion that God provided marriage as an honored tradition in the Bible to protect everyone involved. Few things are worse than discovering your husband or wife committing adultery, including when you are the one they have an affair with. It is God's intention to protect everyone from such a fate. The Bible also outlines that the only proper way to marry is to marry someone of the opposite sex. Leviticus 18:22 says: "You shall not lie with a male, as with a woman. That is detestable."
We pray as well that should Wengeris' boyfriend be considering marriage, he will consider seeking a wife, as Proverbs 31:10 WEB says: "Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies." Not someone just to live with, or go out with, but a wife. He should look for a wife everyone should have a heart for God. Glorifying God is the only fulfillment and purpose in life. It is for this reason we strongly urge that not only should we have a heart for God, it is for this reason that we should have a heart for God and seek glorify God only in marriage to someone otherwise we can be an embarrassment and a danger of our testimony to Jesus. Submitting ourselves to Godly marriage plan for our lives.
Wengeris did not mention praying to Jesus in your request. There is no other name by which any person can be saved. "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." Hebrews 13:15 WEB.
May God Richly bless Wengeris and their boyfriend as they seek His will together in Jesus' name. Amen.
