We are truly saddened to hear about the health condition of your pastor's father, and we are here to intercede and pray on his behalf this hour.
As a prayer group and Christians we are commanded to Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit, I Thessalonians 17-19. We must pray for our elders, pastors, deacons, teachers, and all those having authority over us whatever they may be in need of. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward., Matthew 10:42.
This includes our dear pastors and their souls. Let's remind ourselves and our dear pastors we are to Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you, in the land which Yahweh your God gives you, Deuteronomy 5:16. Let's pray our dear pastor will make it well with his father in the Lord and he can take the time to do this now while his father is here.
In the Bible, we are reminded of the power of prayer and how it can change even the most difficult situations. In the Book of Isaiah, we are told that God longs to be gracious to us and he will rise up to show us compassion. For Yahweh has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted. Isaiah 49:13.
As we pray for your pastor's father, let us remember the story of King Hezekiah in the Book of Isaiah. Hezekiah was sick and at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah had even given him the terrible news that he should get his house in order because he would not recover. However, Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, and the Lord heard his prayer and healed him. Isaiah 38. The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and he can heal your pastor's father even in this critical situation.
Let us pray, it is written Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 55:16.:
Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort we thank you for Gwyinyftan caring for his shepherd asking for prayers for his health. We thank you for the gift of life and the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. We come before you, our Heavenly Father, Gaywyftan rebuking this illness that has taken hold of our dear pastor's father's body, and we command it to let go of him in the mighty name of Jesus. We stand on your promises that say that healing is the children's bread, and we ask that you would heal and deliver him from this infirmity so he may return to worshiping you for several more years.
Our Father, we pray that his heart would be filled with your peace and comfort at this time, knowing that whatever happens, he can trust fully in you. We ask this trusting that we have the petitions that we desired of him, if it be our Heavenly Father's will that his time has now come to greet his maker, it is our prayer that he will go in peace, with Christ welcoming him, Amen.
Lastly it is in our lessons from Ecclesiastes 12:1 to Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw near, when you will say, I have no pleasure in them. And Psalm 90:12, Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom, we are reminded there is nothing guaranteed in tomorrow. However, we are designed to not live this live alone. Healing is a prayer away. Your our Heavenly Father has mercy and compassion for us all in this hour of our lives. It is by the name of Jesus this has been given to us. The name of Jesus should be written upon our hearts, and our lips. Don't delay. Trust in him now and forever. We pray this is Gwyinyftan's prayer and belief also.
