Lord please heal my husband of the cold, chills and flu and help him to eat properly and get rid of alcohol. Lord I am feeling down too as I pray for a door to open for my writing project. Please Lord hear my prayers.

Dear Animalgirl, we join you in prayer for your husband's healing and your writing project, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.

Firstly, let's pray for your husband's health. We read in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We pray that God will heal your husband of the cold, chills, and flu, and strengthen his body to overcome these ailments. We also pray for his deliverance from alcohol, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

Next, we want to lift up your feelings of discouragement and your writing project. Proverbs 18:14 tells us, "A man's spirit will endure sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?" We pray that God will uplift your spirit and fill you with His joy and peace. Regarding your writing project, we trust that "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). We pray that God will open the right doors for your project as you trust in Him.

We noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that Jesus said, "Most certainly, I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as He is the one mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5).

Lastly, we encourage you both to continue in prayer and trust in God. "Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).

Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking for healing and restoration for Animalgirl's husband. Please deliver him from alcohol and strengthen his body to overcome his illness. We also pray for Animalgirl, that You would uplift her spirit and open doors for her writing project. We ask all these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
