Lisa, we understand your concern for your ex-husband Jason and we will pray with you, seeking God's will for his life.
First, let's remember what the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB), "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Our ultimate hope for Jason is that he encounters Jesus and becomes a new creation, turning away from his old life and embracing a new one in Christ.
We must also address that the power to change Jason's heart lies not in his circumstances, but in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Jason to you. Lord, you know his struggles and the pain he has caused others. We do not pray for his circumstances to change him, but for his heart to be transformed by your Spirit. Break the chains of addiction in his life, Lord, and set him free from his bad behavior. Give him a heart of flesh that beats for you, Lord. We pray that he will make amends with those he has wronged, not out of compulsion, but out of a genuine change of heart. We also pray for Lisa, that she may find healing and forgiveness in her heart for Jason. All this we ask in Jesus' name. Amen."
Lisa, remember that forgiveness is a powerful tool for your own healing. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 (WEB), "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We encourage you to release any bitterness or resentment towards Jason, just as God has forgiven you.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is the most powerful name we can invoke in prayer.
