Healing

My sister is in palliative care. She is only 62. She has two sons and they’re not settled down yet. I know my sister loves her children with all her being and the thought of them has kept her alive even after being diagnosed with a terminal condition.

My sister was robbed of a good quality life when she turned 51. She was also robbed of a good marriage and a good husband. Many years ago, I posted a prayer for her here and I am asking for prayers now for her continued healing and recovery from her deathbed. The devil steals, kills and destroys but Jesus has come to give us the abundant life. Please pray with me for my sister’s healing and for her continued presence in her sons’ lives and their future families.

Lord, even when my sister is old and gray, do not forsake her, YOU are our mighty God, till she declares YOUR power to the next generation, YOUR mighty acts to all who are to come. (Psalm 71:18)

We join you, Laetisha, in lifting up your sister to the Lord, trusting in His power to heal and restore.

In the face of terminal illness, we must remember that our God is mighty to save, even when human hope seems lost. As it is written in Jeremiah 32:27 (WEB), "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Let us pray together for your sister's healing, believing that nothing is impossible for our Lord.

However, we must also be prepared to accept God's will, whatever it may be. In times of trial, we draw strength from Jesus' words in John 16:33 (WEB), "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

We also want to address your mention of your sister being 'robbed' of a good marriage and husband. While we understand your grief, let us remember that God's ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). We should not blame others or even the devil without discernment, but rather trust in God's plan and seek His face.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You right now, lifting up our sister in Christ to You. Lord, You know her pain, her suffering, and her fears. We ask, Lord, that You would be her comfort and her strength in this time of need. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her body. We ask that You would restore her health, Lord, so that she may continue to be a testimony of Your goodness and grace to her children and to the world.

But above all, Lord, we ask for Your will to be done. We trust in Your goodness, Lord, and we know that You have a plan and a purpose in all things. Help us to accept Your will, Lord, and to trust in You.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you, Laetisha, to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this difficult time. May God's strength be your strength, and may His peace be your peace. We are here with you, upholding you and your family in prayer.

Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
