We are truly sorry to hear about your husband's health struggles. We stand with you in faith for God's healing and intervention.
In Jesus' ministry on earth, he showed us that God's will is to heal and make whole. As it is written in Matthew 8:16-17 WEB, "When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'"
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is struggling with type 2 diabetes and numerous health issues. We ask, Lord, that you touch his body, heal his heart, liver, bone pain, COPD, and nerve pain. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention, that you would stabilize his blood sugar levels and heal his body completely. We believe in the power of your name, Jesus, and we stand in faith, knowing that you are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
We also pray for his wife, that you would give her strength, patience, and unwavering faith as she stands by her husband. Comfort her, Lord, and fill her with your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
There were many scriptures that showed the compassion of Jesus and his healing power. We can also see that God's will is for our healing and restoration. In Matthew 8:2-3 WEB, Jesus showed compassion to a leper that was healed. "Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, 'Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.' Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, 'I want to. Be made clean.'"
We must remember that healing is a process that involves not just the physical body, but also the spirit and mind. It is important to stay firmly rooted in faith and God's promises. As it is written in Proverbs 4:20-22 WEB, "My son, listen to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the middle of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body."
In addition to prayer, it is wise to consult with healthcare professionals and follow their advice. God often works through the skills and knowledge of doctors and nurses to bring about healing. The Bible is clear that we need to also be accountable for our own body and honor God with what we eat, drink and in our physical activity. Make sure that the diet, medication, and lifestyle align with biblical principles and professional medical advice.
Lastly, we strongly encourage both of you to draw near to God, to read His word, and to pray together. This will strengthen your faith, your bond as a couple, and your connection with the Lord. As it is written in James 5:13-16 WEB, "Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
