We understand that you are seeking the Lord's guidance through fasting to heal your body, mind, and spirit. We commend you for turning to God in your time of need, but we must address the complete gospel. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father in prayer. We will pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only by this name that we are saved.
Firstly, let us address the issue of fasting. Fasting is a biblical practice that can help us draw closer to God and seek His will. In Matthew 6:16-18 (WEB), Jesus teaches us about fasting: "Moreover when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance, for they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."
Now, let us address the struggles you mentioned. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with our bodies. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), it says, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
We must rebuke the idea that you should damage the Holy Spirit's temple, your body, through unhealthy binge eating or any other form of abuse. In fact, we urge you to meditate on and follow the words of Ephesians 5:29 (WEB), No man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly. This instruction is similar to how a man should love his wife as his own body. He who loves his own wife loves himself. As well as Romans 12:1 (WEB), "Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Fliyruormoor to You. Lord, we thank You for the conviction and guidance of Your Holy Spirit in their life. We pray that You will give them the strength and discipline to fast and to honor You with their body, mind, and spirit.
Help them to overcome the struggle of your temple suffering through unhealthy binge eating and self-abuse. Help them to overcome the negative thoughts that can lead to this destruction. Guide them in their fast, and may this time of spiritual discipline draw them closer to You. Help them to serve You and care for others in a way that brings glory to Your name.
In Jesus Christ's name, we rebuke any strongholds or spirits of gluttony, self-destruction, or unhealthy thoughts that may be influencing Fliyruormoor. We pray for freedom, healing, and restoration. May they be guided by Your Word and filled with Your Spirit.
Remember Romans 8:26 (WEB), Likewise the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. We do not know how to pray and it is only through the Spirit that we know how to pray.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
