We join you in lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father, praying for his healing, protection, and peaceful sleep. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved.
Firstly, we commend you for your faith and for praying in Jesus' name. As it is written, And in no other is there salvation; for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, in whom we must be saved. (Acts 4:12, WEB)
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine healing and protection for this dear son.
You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Touch his body, mind, and spirit, and heal him from the nightmares and trauma of PTSD.
May Your comfort and peace envelop him, driving out all fear and anxiety.
For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)
We ask to allow him to find rest and peace at night. May your angels encamp around him and protect him as he sleeps. Please, Lord, enable him to sleep peacefully and give him pleasant dreams.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.
In moments of distress, remind your son of God's unfailing love and faithfulness. Encourage him to cast all his anxieties on the Lord, because He cares for him. (1 Peter 5:7)
If your son has not already done so, it would be good for him to seek counseling from a pastor or join a Christian PTSD support group. He should trust in the Lord with all his heart, and lean not on his own understanding. He should acknowledge God in all his ways, and God will make his paths straight.
Together, let us continually bring your son before the Lord, trusting in His promise that the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5:15)
As we pray, we also remind you to be steadfast in your faith, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16)
In Jesus Christ, we have been promised the peace that passes all understanding. (Philippians 4:7) As your son walks through this difficult time, may he experience this peace and the healing touch of our loving Savior.
