We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking the Lord's healing, protection, and comfort for him. We are reminded of the Lord's promises in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine healing and protection for our dear brother in Christ. Lord, You know the struggles he faces, the nightmares that plague his sleep, and the battles he fights due to PTSD. We ask that You comfort him, heal his mind, and grant him peaceful sleep.
We pray that according to Philippians 4:7, "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus." Father, cast out all fears and anxieties, and replace them with Your perfect love, for as it is written in 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear."
We also pray for his continued spiritual growth. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. We declare that he shall run and not be weary, walk and not faint.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear, torment, and trauma that causes these nightmares. We proclaim victory over PTSD, knowing that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in him, as it is written in Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."
Father, guide his healthcare providers and support system, granting them wisdom and discernment to provide the best care for him. Surround him with Your hedge of protection, and let Your angels encamp around him, as promised in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
Lastly, we pray that he would fix his eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith, knowing that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Thanking God in advance for all He will do for our brother in Christ, we pray for complete and total healing restoration and peace.
