We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep for him. We stand in agreement with you, knowing that the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in the life of this dear son. You tell us in Your Word that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We ask for Your comfort and healing touch to be upon him, easing the burden of PTSD and releasing him from the torment of nightmares.
We pray for Your protective hand to cover him, guarding his mind and body as he sleeps. We claim Your promise that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2 WEB). We ask for Your peace that passes all understanding to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB), allowing him to rest peacefully tonight and every night.
We also pray for strength and wisdom for his mother, that You would guide her in supporting her son and helping him navigate this challenging time. We ask for a hedge of protection around their family, knowing that the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
We stand in faith, believing that Your will for this son is wholeness, healing, and freedom from fear. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work in your son's life. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord.
As we all know God is willing and able to heal. We also know that God may be allowing this to get you to press into Him further. We know that in James 4:8 it says "Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." If your son is not a Christian or not a serious Christian, then it may be necessary to explain the value of having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
