We join you in lifting up your beloved son to the Lord, our loving and heavenly Father.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, united in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Today we bring this concerned parent's request and plead for their son, seeking Your divine healing, protection, and comfort. Lord, You know the struggles and the nightmares that have been plaguing him due to PTSD. We ask for Your healing touch to mend his brokenness and bring peace to his mind, body, and spirit.
We stand on Your promise in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Father, we ask that You grant him peaceful sleep tonight and every night. Let Your presence envelop him, driving away all fears and anxieties. We pray for Your protective hand to cover him, keeping him safe from all harm and evil.
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." We pray that he finds this rest through Jesus Christ.
We also lift up this parent who is so concerned for their child:
Lord, grant them the strength and faith to trust in You completely, knowing that their son is in Your capable hands. Comfort them and give them peace, as we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We are so thankful that this prayer was requested in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can come to God and be saved.
Continue to trust in the Lord, and remember the promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord. He is faithful and will see you through. We pray for a loving Christian spouse to come into the life of this young man if he is not already married and to rebuild a great family of believers.
This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us. And if we know that He listens to all of us whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. Therefore keep trusting in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
