We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep for him. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us and for your son, in particular.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. We thank you for praying in Jesus' name. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus to lift up our brother's son. Lord, you know the struggles he faces, the nightmares that plague him, and the healing he desperately needs. We stand on your word in Isaiah 53:5 WEB, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. We declare healing over his body, mind, and spirit.
We ask for your comfort and peace to surround him, as it says in Psalm 147:3 WEB, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We also pray for his sleep, that it would be peaceful and uninterrupted. In Psalm 4:8 WEB, it says, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that causes nightmares, and we ask for your protection over him, as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Father, we ask that you would strengthen his faith and draw him ever closer to you. Help him to trust in you and your promises. We praise and thank Jesus Christ for His life, death, and resurrection, which gave us new life and access to the Father. We pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God for your son's healing. Keep immersing him in the Word of God and encouraging him in his walk with the Lord. Also, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor to support your son through this time.
Remember the words of James 5:16 WEB, Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. When given according to God's will, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man prevails much.
Keep trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. He is always working for the good of those who love him, even when we can't see it.
