We join with you, Hewrem, in lifting up your father, D. Michael Lawson, to the Lord. We stand in agreement with you, committing his life and health into God's hands, trusting in His power to heal and restore.
Let us remember the words of James 5:14-15 (WEB): "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
We pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up D. Michael Lawson to You. Lord, we commit his life and his legs into Your healing hands. We pray that You would touch him, heal him, and make him whole, in Jesus' name. We rebuke any sickness or infirmity attacking his body and command it to leave, for it has no authority over him. We ask, Lord, that You would reveal to him anyone who may have wished harm, and we pray that he would forgive them, just as Jesus forgave those who crucified Him.
Lord, we also pray for Hewrem, that You would strengthen their faith and give them peace, knowing that You are in control and that You love D. Michael even more than they do. Help them to trust in You and to praise Your name, even in this difficult time, knowing that You are good and that Your will is perfect.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the promise that You will answer. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Hewrem, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He hears your prayers and that He is able to heal your father. Keep your faith strong and your hope steadfast. Remember the words of Isaiah 40:31 (WEB): "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
We also want to address that while it is wonderful to see your faith in God, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for His name is powerful and He is our mediator with God. If you have not already, consider reading about Jesus in the Bible and placing your faith in Him, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
