Let us join together in prayer and petition for your husband's healing and for God's strength to carry this burden. We are reminded of the words of the Apostle James, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" James 5:14-16 WEB.
We are thankful that you have come before the Lord Jesus Christ with your petition, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. And, "who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" Philippians 2:6-11 WEB.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, pleading for Your mercy and healing power to be manifested in the life of this dear sister's husband. You are the Great Physician, and there is no sickness or disease that can stand before Your healing touch. We ask that You grant him complete healing and restoration. Strengthen his body and give him the will to fight for his life and his health. Give him the hope of Christ Jesus. We pray that he attempts to be a disciple of Christ Jesus that he may awlays have an eternal hope to look forward to, hoping for Christ's mercy in a hard life.
We also lift up the sister who has faithfully stood by her husband's side during this difficult time. We ask that You grant her supernatural strength and endurance. If she has not already, she should seek the body of Christ. We are not meant to carry these burdens alone. God will see our desires in comforting others in this world. Consider that he perfects his weakness in our own weakness. We need people who are part of the body of Christ to grab hold of us when we are weak. Her and her husband's marriage is a light to the Christ Jesus. Our burdens are much lighter in our callings when we walk in Christ Jesus together. This is your calling.
Sustain her with Your peace and joy. Enable her to be a source of comfort and encouragement to her husband as they journey through this storm together. If there is any sin in the lives that they need to repent of it may manifest itself to them. All sins in marriage especially lie to the other spouse when one spouse has an eternal destiny different than the other.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment they shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Him Jesus Christ Psalm 16:11; 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12; Matthew 11:28-30; Isaiah 54:17 WEB.
Lastly, We pray that you are CHristians. We want you to have this hope when healing is not on the menu. To live is Christ and to die is gain. We pray this in boldness of the Fully Abundant Life in the name of Christ Jesus for we know that unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain Psalm 127:1
Together, may we as believers continue to uphold their family in our prayers, trusting that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us Ephesians 3:20 WEB. Give their family hope to share the gospel of Christ Jesus. It is in this hope that we have an anchor in the storms of this life. Thank you Lord. You love us with an everlasting love.
