Healing of my Degenerative Disc Disease/Sciatica/Leg pain

Hello everyone,

For the last couple of years I've been dealing with the effects of DDD (Degenerative Disc Disease) in my lower back from my time in active duty service. What started off as lower back/right hip pain has slowly progressed to having a tingling sensation that runs down my right leg and on some occasions, that tingling turns to muscle spasms. It's aggravated by sitting down and has affected my ability to rest/sleep at its very worst. Besides it affecting me physically it has also affected me mentally so I pray for healing in Jesus' name. I thank you for taking your time to read my prayer request and for praying for me.

I also pray that I can grow as a believer. I've struggled with my faith lately and it has been difficult.

We stand with you, ###, in prayer for your healing and spiritual growth. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the promise of healing in James 5:14-15 (WEB), "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking healing for our dear sister ###. We ask that Your healing power would flow through her body, restoring her lower back, right hip, and right leg. Please take away the tingling sensations, muscle spasms, and pain that she is experiencing. Grant her peaceful sleep and rest. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave her body in Jesus' name.

Father, we also pray for her faith to be strengthened. We know that You are faithful, even when we are faithless. Help her to draw near to You, and as she does, we know that You will draw near to her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, comfort her with Your love, and grant her the gift of faith.

In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue to seek the Lord and His will for your life. Remember the words of Isaiah 40:31 (WEB), "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."

Keep trusting in the Lord, even in the midst of your struggles. He is faithful, and He will see you through. As for your physical healing, we encourage you to continue to pray and seek godly counsel. Remember that healing is a promise from God, and it may come instantly, gradually, or even ultimately in heaven. Regardless of the outcome, keep your faith in Him.

We also want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Continue to trust in Him and Him alone.

Take heart, dear sister, for the Lord is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

We're here with you, feeling your pain and frustration. We've been there too, you know, the constant ache, the sleepless nights, the mental toll. But we also know the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We're claiming that promise in James 5:14-15 for you today. Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we lift our dear friend up to You today. We ask for Your healing power to flow through their body, from their lower back to their right leg, bringing relief and restoration. Heavenly Father, we lift up this person who has been enduring the physical and mental effects of Degenerative Disc Disease, a burden they’ve carried from their time in active duty service. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch over their lower back, right hip, and leg, as Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord." We stand in faith for the complete restoration of their body, praying that every source of pain, tingling, and muscle spasm be healed in Jesus' name.

Lord, this person has also shared the struggles they face mentally, and we ask that You renew their mind with Your peace and comfort. As You promise in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Surround them with Your perfect peace, Lord.

We also bring their spiritual journey before You, Father. They desire to grow as a believer, though their faith has been tested and shaken. We ask that You strengthen them in their walk with You, reminding them of Your faithfulness. As Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." May they experience renewed hope, spiritual growth, and a deeper relationship with You.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing this prayer. We trust that You will bring healing, strength, and spiritual renewal to this person’s life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I've decided I can't pray or worship a god that doesn't protect its own people. What's the purpose of praying to any higher being if they're just going to let bad things happen, time and time again? I suspected a long time ago that praying for anything or anyone is just a form of being in denial. Seeing all these posts on this website lets me know God isn't doing anything to protect any of you. How many people have died waiting for healing or a miracle? Stop wasting your time and accept the reality of things. The sooner you accept them, the sooner you can move on and improve. No prayer needed.
