We are truly heartsick to hear about the struggles in your marriage, MomsPetunia, but we are encouraged by your faith in Jesus' name and your desire to seek God's will. We stand with you in prayer, asking for God's intervention and healing.
Firstly, let's remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB). It is God's will that marriages reflect the union between Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:31-32 WEB), and that husbands and wives love each other as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister MomsPetunia and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their marriage and upon her husband. We pray that You would soften his heart and bring forth a spirit of forgiveness within him. We know that nothing is impossible for You, Lord, and that You can turn even the most desperate situations around for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Help MomsPetunia to be the wife and person You have called her to be. Guide her steps, Lord, and give her the strength and wisdom to walk in Your ways. We pray that she would grow in her faith, in her love, and in her understanding of Your word.
We rebuke any spirit of fear and desperation, Lord, and we ask that You would fill MomsPetunia with Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We pray that she would trust in You with all her heart, and not lean on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
We ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance and intervention in their lives. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict, comfort, and guide both MomsPetunia and her husband, and that their marriage would be a testament to Your faithfulness and love, in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
MomsPetunia, continue to trust in the Lord and to do good. Dwell in the land, and cultivate faithfulness (Psalm 37:3 WEB). Remember that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Keep praying, keep believing, and keep seeking the Lord. We are here with you in prayer, trusting that God will make a way where there seems to be no way. May God have mercy and turn your husband's heart to you, as you are praying for him. Also, remember the law of the kindness is upon your tongue as you request to be forgiven. You should forgive as you want him to forgive.
