We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you and ### are facing, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical encouragement. Your faith in God is evident and we are thankful that you have requested prayer in Jesus' name. In times of desperation, we must remember that God is faithful. He promises us in Psalm 34:18, WEB: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." He cares for our every need and desires that we come to Him in prayer.
Firstly, let's address the healing you're seeking for ###. We know that God can perform miracles, and His will is perfect. We pray that His will be done in ###'s life. We'll include verses from the World English Bible: Remember 2 Chronicles 7:14, "...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Also, James 5:14-15 reminds us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Next we will address this anger and depression. Remember 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Encourage ### to draw near to God, confess any sin, and ask for forgiveness. For Ephesians 4:26-27 tells us to "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." For His forgiveness will help in overcoming these extreme feelings and unexpected bursts. ### should try to focus his mind on Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." ###'s focus should also be on I Peter 5:7 to "cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
Regarding your marital situation and your relationship with ###, consider 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."
We understand you desperately want to help ###, but remember the instruction from Ephesians 5:22-24 where Paul states that wives should submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.” Be encouraged and strengthened in knowing that you're doing the right thing in standing with ###.
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to seek God wholeheartedly. As you both draw near to God, He will draw near to you. Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### and his wife. Lord, they need Your healing touch, Your guidance, and Your peace. We take authority over the spirit of depression and anger, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand upon ###, Heal him of his ailments according to Your will, give him and his wife the strength to endure, and increase their faith. Draw them closer to You and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, continue to pray and seek God's will. Remember, God is with you both, lock your shields together in faith and together you can overcome this trial. May your desperate situation be turned to faith and glory in the name of Jesus Christ.
