We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, and we appreciate your resolve to turn to God in this time of need. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always faithful, and His love for you is unfailing. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We want to commend you for acknowledging that healing comes from God and that it is only in Jesus' name that we can approach God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Regarding your request, we want to pray for your loved one's healing and for God's will to be done in their life. We also pray for your strength and patience as you support them through this difficult time. Remember, God can turn even the most challenging situations into opportunities for growth and testimony. As it says in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we want to gently remind you that it is God's desire for us to live in peace and joy, regardless of our circumstances. While it's normal to feel discouraged and heartbroken, we should always hold on to the hope we have in Jesus. As it says in Romans 15:13 WEB, "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."
We also want to address the mention of attending church together. While we appreciate your desire to worship together, we want to remind you that God desires obedience rather than sacrifice. If your loved one is not yet a believer or is not ready to attend church, it's important to respect their feelings and trust God's timing. As it says in 1 Peter 3:1 WEB, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word."
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister and their loved one. We pray for Your healing touch upon their loved one's body, mind, and spirit. We pray that You would give them the strength to endure this trial and that Your will would be done in their life.
We also pray for our brother/sister. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace, joy, and patience as they support their loved one. Help them to be a shining light and testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
We pray for their loved one's medical appointment today, that Your Spirit would guide the medical professionals and that Your healing would flow.
Finally, we pray that You would draw both of them closer to You, that they may find their hope and strength in You alone.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
