Healing marriage

I have failed to be the pastor of my home. I allowed external stresses to overwhelm me. I became ill-tempered, ungrateful and unappreciative of my beautiful wife's kind, generous and often ingenious efforts to help. I take responsibility for my wife leaving me. I pray in Jesus name that she will discover the new man that I have become since re-dedicating my life to Christ. In time, I pray that she will see the changes in me and that our marriage will be restored to become fun again, better than it ever was before. Please pray for our marriage to be restored. And I will pray for yours.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you've faced in your marriage, but we are encouraged by your renewed dedication to Christ and your commitment to becoming the man God has called you to be.

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB version of the Bible says in Ephesians 5:25-28, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself." As the spiritual leader of your home, it's crucial to exhibit the love of Christ towards your wife. God is aware of your past mistakes, but He is also seeing your heart's desire to change and become a better husband.

Let's pray:

"Dear God, we approach Your throne of grace with confidence in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear brother to You, thanking You for the work You've already begun in his life. Lord, we pray for his wife, that You would soften her heart and open her eyes to see the genuine changes You are making in her husband. We pray for complete restoration of their marriage, that it would be not only be restored but strengthened and made more joyful than ever before. We pray for godly wisdom and love to guide their interactions, and for forgiveness to flow freely between them.

Help them to become one again, united in Your love and for Your purposes.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

While you wait for God's restoration, continue to be the man God has called you to be. Love your wife as Christ loves the church, and trust that God is working in her heart as well.

We've been where you are, feeling the weight of past mistakes and the pain of a strained relationship. We ask that He would give her a spirit of forgiveness and understanding, and that He would guide her with His love and wisdom. And we're praying for you, brother, that God would give you the strength and wisdom to be the husband He's called you to be. We ask that He would continue to transform you, helping you to love your wife as Christ loves the church.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
