We are truly sorry to hear that you are experiencing discomfort due to a sinus infection. We are here with you to. As believers, we trust in the power of prayer and the healing that Jesus Christ provides. God does heal today and he is the great physician. But remember, sickness comes to Christians just like it comes to non-Christians. An important point to remember is that Jesus himself had pain and suffering. It is not a guarantee that a believer in Jesus Christ will always experience healing, but we do trust in God's sovereignty and goodness in every situation. When sickness comes into our lives, we should trust God to use it for his goals such as teaching us to have His sufficiency in everything, increasing our faith, humbling us, preparing for death, using sickness to teach others, and for various other purposes. Please do understand why God would not just simply take away every illness and evil we go through. If he did, would we have any need for him and would we realize weakness and eventually flee to Jesus Christ himself as our Savior and cling to him. God can do miracles in Jesus name, but please have a mature view of healing and what God is doing in your life. God teaches us to use pain for learning patience, empathy, humility, endurance, Godliness, faith, and self-control in the situation. Remember, because of Adam and Eve, the world is subject to the bondage of decay and will be freed at the end of the age. That is why there is suffering in the world because the consequences of Adam and Eve sinning are death, pain and suffering. The world is subject to futility which is defined as fruitlessness or meaninglessness. That is why there is famine, death, pain, and suffering. Death is also the result. That is why we need a Savior to save our souls from evil, our inability to save ourselves from being evil by nature. Jesus Christ can give us reprieve from pain and suffering by healing through super natural means, but we should remember the purpose God has for it if and when he chooses not to heal. So, pray for the sickness but be aware of God's plan for it. But remember Jesus himself had pain and suffering. The scripture tells us, Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. I Peter 3:17-18
3:17 For it is better, if the will of God should so will, that you suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.
3:18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
Remember, through Jesus all things are possible including healing. Here are the verses to help our faith increase. Though we should remember to have a mature view of healing including it is not always best to heal as much as we want to. Mark 5:25-29
A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse, having heard the things concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd, and touched his clothes. For she said, If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well. Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
One more scripture to read is Mark 4:39-41
3:39 He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace! Be still! The wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
3:40 He said to them, Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?
3:41 They were greatly afraid, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Also read Mark 9:23-24
23 Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, I believe. Help my unbelief.
What a declaration faith to remember if You can believe, anything is possible. Jesus can do anything. Remember, We are to have faith in God because he can do something, but what if he does not heal right now? Trust God in that circumstance also. Be faithful to God and Jesus regardless of the outcome. Here is another scripture for edification and encouragement. Philippians 4:6-7
Have no anxiety about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Remember to have no anxiety. Reach out to God in prayer and expect to have God's peace. That is the peace we all should seek as believers. That is the cure for anxiety, worry, and being burdened. The scriptures are full of examples of peace promised to believers in Jesus Christ. Now let's pray for healing in Jesus' name. We are praying that you will receive peace and healing from this situation. We pray that you be faithful to God no matter what the outcome. So many times, God does heal and we trust he can. There may be times when God does not heal due to various reasons. Let's pray and leave this at the foot of the cross. We know that you have prayed to the correct Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus, we have access to God. We ask God that you be healed and rejuvenated physically. We also ask that you will have spiritual health and be well. Free you from the discomfort and illness along with the ability to enjoy life including eating, drinking, and be in fellowship with other believers. We ask all things be done to the glory to God and in Jesus' name. Amen.
Hope that encourages you so you can begin to return to maybe a normal state of health. Here is what Jesus says in the beatitudes if you can read them in Matthew chapter 5:3-12.
