Remove the spirit of fear and replace it with a spirit of power, love, and self-control. Grant them the courage to overcome social awkwardness and shyness, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We encourage you to lean on the promise in Isaiah 61:7, "Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them." (WEB)
It's important to remember that forgiveness is not about excusing the behavior of your abusers, but rather releasing the burden of bitterness and resentment from your own heart. Trust that God is the ultimate judge and He will deal with them accordingly.
As you continue to seek healing and forgiveness, we encourage you to surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can walk alongside you in this journey. If you haven't already, consider seeking professional Christian counseling to help you navigate through this process.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His stripes that we are healed (John 14:6, 1 Peter 2:24). If you haven't already, make sure to invite Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we can experience true healing and salvation.
