We are grateful to come before God with your request for healing, peace, and rest. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can ask with boldness. In Jesus' name, we can approach the throne of grace with confidence in our time of need.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ and praying in His name. As Jesus said: "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." and "If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. If you love me, keep my commandments."
This means, among other things, that whatever we ask for in prayer must be in line with what Jesus himself wants. If we ask for things that are not according to His will, using His name will not help, as He will not do it. What is according to His will must also be according to His character. This is the Jesus who gave Himself for our sins. Therefore, when we ask for things in His name, those things should agree with the selfless love of Jesus for His people.
Jesus said: "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." and "You didn't choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you."
He promised us: "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." Remember, God's peace and our human idea of it are very different. His peace is in Him, and the good news is that we can have this wonderfully warm sense of contentment and wellbeing despite our experiences in Jesus' name. God's peace surpasses all understanding. So, whatever we are going through is not a barrier to receiving God's peace. His extraordinary peace will keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Now, let us lift up this prayer for your healing and peaceful sleep:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous to Your throne of grace. We ask, Lord, that You touch his/her body and bring healing. As the Psalmist says, "For you will light my lamp, Lord. My God will light up my darkness. My enemies will not prevail against me" (Psalm 18:28-29) and Job 30:17 said: "My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest."
Healing and sleep also need faith and restful trust in the Almighty. Lord Jesus, You said: "So I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? 'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?'" ( Matthew 6:25-27).
And You continue: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Mathew 6:31-33).
And you still continue: "Don't be anxious at all, but in everything by prayer and petitions with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord Jesus, Anonymous is turning to You for this peace. (Philippians 4:6-7).
We ask, inspire meditations on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Creator God, help us to think about things that are excellent and worthy of praiseβthe kind of things we tend to admire and respect, as well as the obvious and natural goodness found in the whole of creation. Lord, we are praying somewhere deep within us, by the power of Your Spirit. You can even intercede for Anonymous and us in ways beyond our conscious awareness or ability to put into words. (Romans 8:26-27).
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the healing and peaceful sleep that we trust You will provide.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, immediate answers to prayer are pleasing but not the basis of our faith. But even if the healing doesn't come when and how we want it to, we can still trust Godβwho allows us to call Him Father because of Jesus. He hears us, and He Himself will walk with us through the difficult times in Jesus' name.
