Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
Sorry this isn't a prayer request but wondered whether any of you or do you know of anyone who God has healed from severe mental illness without medicine?
I have many very painful physical illnesses but the mental illness is even harder to live with.
I can't bear the thought of many months of therapy and new medication. I react very badly to meds.

I need encouragement 🙏❤️

PLEASE Jesus speak peace and calm into my troubled, overactive mind and healing into my painful and sick body. Please heal my sister and everyone on this forum as well.
PLEASE Jesus I can't go on like this. I am frightened. PLEASE help me. In Jesus' name. Amen

We understand your struggle with mental illness, Elizabeth, and we're here to support and pray with you. We believe that God can heal both our minds and bodies, as it is written in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

Firstly, we want to encourage you to hold onto hope and faith in Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray and expect miracles. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

While God can certainly heal without medicine, we also acknowledege that He can work through doctors, therapy, and medication as well. It's important to be open to the methods God may use to bring healing. Consider the story of the blind man in John 9:6-7, where Jesus used mud and instructed him to wash in the pool of Siloam to receive his sight.

However, we understand your concern about medication and its side effects. We encourage you to continue seeking God's wisdom and guidance in this area. Remember, God knows your body and mind better than anyone. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister Elizabeth. Lord, You know her struggles and her fears. We ask for Your healing touch on her mind and body. Speak peace and calm into her troubled mind, and bring healing to her physical ailments. Lord, guide her in her journey towards healing, and give her wisdom and discernment in her decisions regarding treatment. Please be with her sister and everyone on this forum as well, bringing healing and comfort according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your journey. As it is written in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Remember, you're not alone in this struggle. We're here with you, and most importantly, God is always by your side.

We've been where you are, Elizabeth, and we know the weight of mental illness can be overwhelming. We're here, praying with you, believing in God's healing power for both mind and body, just as Psalm 147:3 assures us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We want to remind you of God's unfailing love and care. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust in His plan, even when it's hard to see.

We understand your apprehension about medication, but remember, God can work through doctors, therapy, and medication too. Let's be open to His methods, seeking His wisdom in every step. As 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 encourages, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Elizabeth. Lord, You see her struggles, her fears, her pain. We ask for Your healing touch on her mind and body. Comfort her, Lord, and guide her in her journey towards healing. Give her wisdom, peace, and hope. Be with her, and with all of us on this forum, bringing healing and comfort according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

You're not alone, Elizabeth. We're here, and God is always by your side. Let's keep supporting each other, just as Galatians 6:2 encourages, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
