We are deeply concerned for your son Gracious, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that our Lord Jesus Christ can heal him from these fits. We know that God is merciful and the Great Physician. In the Bible, we have numerous examples of Jesus healing those who were sick, such as in Matthew 4:24 WEB: "And his fame went out into all Syria, and they brought to him all who were sick, who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them."
However, the first step in approaching God is through His Son Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. The Bible is clear when it states in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." No other way to the Father is available in heaven. The scripture is clear as it further states in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together for Gracious:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and healing power for Gracious. You are the Great Physician, and we believe that You can heal him from these fits. We ask that You touch his body and make him whole, delivering him from this illness. We also pray for the doctors treating him, that You would guide them and give them wisdom in their decisions.
Lord Jesus, we also pray for Nimel, that You would strengthen their faith and give them peace during this time. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are always with them, even in the midst of trials. We take this situation seriously as we need to keep our eyes on You. There is the example of the people who focused on their problems and the disciples relationship to those problems instead of Jesus. While Jesus had the disciples get into the boat before him and sent them on their way ahead of him to the other side of the lake, the people saw and realized the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, and began to take Jesus into the boat. But Jesus not wanting them to make him king by force sent the disciples on ahead of him on their own. Jesus went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later, the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. Oh Lord, they cried out in fear. But Jesus said to them, Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid. Lord, we acknowledge You and cry out to you. Come quickly and help us. "Lord, if it is you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You said, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" When they both climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then the disciples in the boat worshiped him, Jesus saying, "Truly, you are the Son of God."
We remember that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus Christ, you testified and said: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
IJN, Amen.
Gracious must believe in Jesus and receive him as Savior to be healed!
