We are truly sorry to hear about the emotional abuse you have experienced, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we commend you for praying for your abuser, as Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44, WEB). This is a powerful testimony of your faith and obedience.
However, we want to address something crucial. You mentioned that you are praying for God to take your feelings away for this person, but we need to understand that our emotions are a part of who God made us to be. The goal should not be to become numb or to suppress our feelings, but rather to heal and channel them in a godly manner. The Psalmist often expressed his raw emotions to God, and likewise, we can bring our pain, anger, and sadness to Him (Psalm 142:2-3, WEB).
Regarding your healing, we pray that God will mend your broken heart and bind up your wounds (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We also want to remind you that God promises to be close to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). He is always with you, and He cares about your pain.
We also need to address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to come to Jesus, believing in His death and resurrection, and you will be saved.
In this situation, it is also important to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers. The Bible encourages us to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2, WEB), and professional Christian counseling may also be beneficial for your healing journey.
Here is our prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who has experienced emotional abuse and betrayal. Lord, we pray for Your healing touch upon her life, that You would mend her broken heart and bind up her wounds. Help her to channel her emotions in a godly manner, and may Your everlasting love and comfort envelop her.
We also pray for her abuser, that You would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. Help our sister to forgive, not because it is easy, but because You have forgiven her. Give her the strength to let go of the bitterness and move forward in faith.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for her complete healing and restoration. Guide her every step of the way, and may this trial draw her closer to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9, WEB). Keep trusting in Him, and He will see you through this difficult time.
