We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggle your son is facing with drug addiction.
Firstly, we must remember that healing and restoration come from God alone, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and seek His help. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Let us pray together for your son's deliverance and healing from drug addiction.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved son to You. Lord, You see the struggle and the pain that drug addiction has caused him, his wife, and his children. We stand in the gap for him, praying for his complete healing and deliverance from this bondage.
Father, we know that Your heart is for him to be whole and restored. We claim Your promise in 1 John 1:9 WEB:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict his heart, leading him to repentance and a genuine desire to turn away from this addiction. Strengthen him with Your power to overcome this stronghold in his life. Surround him with godly influences and support, that he may find the help and encouragement he needs to walk in freedom.
Lord, we also lift up his wife and children. Comfort their hearts and provide for their needs during this challenging time. Give his wife the strength and wisdom to support her husband while also protecting and caring for their children.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare victory over this stronghold. We claim Your promise in Romans 8:37 WEB:
No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Father, we ask that You would work all things together for good in this situation, drawing this family closer to You and to each other. Restore their home and make it a place of peace, love, and joy.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son and his family, trusting that God is at work in their lives. Remember the power of prayer and the promises of God, as stated in James 5:16 WEB:
Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Stand strong in your faith, and trust that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20 WEB)
We are here with you in spirit, praying and believing for your son's complete healing and restoration.
